Shadowban Checker
Understand your Instagram account's health score, check for potential shadowbans, and learn how to recover from visibility restrictions.
What is the Shadowban Checker?
The Shadowban Checker performs a comprehensive analysis of your Instagram account's health. It checks for multiple negative signals (anomalies) that Instagram typically uses to shadowban or suppress accounts. By analyzing your recent scraped data, it calculates a Risk Score from 0 to 100.
- Score 0-25: Safe (All Clear)
- Score 26-59: Caution (Some negative signals detected)
- Score 60+: Danger (Shadowban highly likely)
How is the Risk Score Calculated?
Your account is evaluated automatically every time it is scraped. We look at 7 critical risk signals:
- Engagement Cliff: Sudden drop in engagement across recent posts.
- Growth Stagnation: A flat or declining follower count despite active posting.
- Hashtag Reach Decay: Posts with hashtags receiving significantly less engagement than those without.
- Follow/Unfollow Anomaly: Rapid swings in your following count (often associated with action blocks).
- Posting Frequency Spike: A sudden, massive increase in posting rate that mimics spam.
- Content Repetition: Posting identical visual content frequently.
- Engagement Velocity Drop: A slow-down in how quickly your content accumulates engagement over time.
Each signal adds specific points to your total risk score. If multiple signals trigger, your risk of being shadowbanned increases.
How to Recover from a Shadowban
If you find yourself in the 'Caution' or 'Danger' zone, the Shadowban Checker provides a personalized Recovery Playbook.
Depending on which signals were flagged, recovery tips will guide you on how to return to healthy standing. Common strategies include:
- Pausing any follow/unfollow activities.
- Reducing your posting frequency to a normal pace.
- Mixing up your hashtags to avoid spamming the same ones.
- Focusing strictly on high-quality, authentic engagement for 48 hours.
You can keep an eye on your Risk Score History chart to track your progress as you recover.
